Building for Friends Restaurant Moved by Davie Shoring

The new Friends Restaurant in Madisonville, LA is nearing completion. Part of their master plan included moving the house at 405 St. Tammany, moving the main house as well as the guest cottage.

The Maine house measured 36 feet by 55 feet. It weighed 65 tons and was a historical Madisonville home built in the late 1800’s. Davie Shoring, Inc. first loaded and moved the guest cottage and then proceeded to load and move the main house onto a barge to be relocated to another Madisonville lot when the permits are obtained.
